Privacy Policy

This policy describes what happens to personal information in connection with prospectworks.online. The short version is that the site itself collects nothing: there is no form, no account, no newsletter, no cookie and no analytics. What remains is ordinary server logging by the hosting provider, and whatever a reader chooses to write in an email.

1. Who is responsible

The publisher and the entity responsible for the information described here is:

BuildWise s.r.o. publishes Prospect Works. Enquiries about this policy, and requests under it, go to info@prospectworks.online or to the postal address above.

BuildWise s.r.o. handles the personal information of readers in Australia in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles as described in this policy, and, because the company is established in the Czech Republic, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation as set out in section 11.

2. What is actually collected

Three categories, and nothing else.

Nothing collected through the website itself

There is no contact form, no search box, no comment facility, no account, no newsletter subscription, no quiz and no download requiring details. The site sets no cookies and does not use localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB or browser fingerprinting. No analytics service, advertising tag, conversion pixel, chat widget or social media embed is present on any page.

Server logs kept by the hosting provider

Serving a web page produces an ordinary log entry at the server. Those entries contain the IP address of the connecting device, the browser user agent string, the URL requested, the date and time of the request, the response status and, where the browser sends one, the address of the referring page. These logs are generated automatically by the web server; they are not analysed to build a profile of any reader and are not combined with other information.

What a reader writes in an email

An email to info@prospectworks.online contains at least the sender's email address, and whatever else the sender chooses to include. Nothing further is requested, and readers should not send sensitive information, account credentials, payment details or identity documents to this address — it is not needed and will be deleted.

3. Why each category is held, and on what basis

Server logs are held for security and diagnostics: identifying and blocking abusive traffic, investigating faults, and confirming that pages are being served correctly. Under the GDPR the lawful basis is the publisher's legitimate interests in keeping the site available and secure. There is no consent basis for anything on this site, because the site sets no cookies and does nothing that requires consent.

Email correspondence is held to read and answer the message, and to keep a record of a correction where one was made. The basis is the same legitimate interest, or the steps taken at the sender's own request.

4. How long each category is kept

• Server logs: retained for no longer than 30 days from the date of the request, after which they are deleted or overwritten in the ordinary course of the hosting provider's log rotation.
• Email correspondence: retained for no longer than 24 months from the last message in the exchange, then deleted. Correspondence that has been resolved and requires no record is deleted sooner.
• Nothing else is retained, because nothing else is collected.

5. Who the information is disclosed to

The publisher does not sell personal information, does not disclose it to advertisers or to any security software vendor, and does not share it for marketing. Two parties are involved in the ordinary operation of the site:

• The hosting provider, which operates the server on which this site runs and which generates and stores the server logs described above.
• The email provider, which carries and stores messages sent to info@prospectworks.online.

No other third party receives anything. No content is loaded from an external host when a page is rendered: the stylesheet and script are served from this domain, the site uses no web font service and no content delivery network, and the typefaces used are the ones already present on the reader's device. Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it, which has not occurred.

Cross-border disclosure under APP 8

Readers in Australia should note that this disclosure is to recipients outside Australia. The publisher is established in the Czech Republic, and the hosting and email providers operate servers located outside Australia, including in the European Union. Personal information described in this policy is therefore handled overseas, and Australian Privacy Principle 8 requires that this be stated plainly, as it is here.

6. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, so traffic between a reader's browser and the server is encrypted in transit. Access to the server and to the email account is limited to the publisher and protected by individual credentials and multi-factor authentication. Because the site collects nothing, there is no database of reader information to protect — which is the most effective security measure available and the reason the site is built this way.

7. Access, correction and complaints

A reader may ask what personal information the publisher holds about them, ask for it to be corrected if it is wrong, and ask for it to be deleted. In practice, unless the reader has sent an email, the answer will be that nothing identifiable is held beyond server log entries that cannot readily be connected to a person.

Requests go to info@prospectworks.online and are answered within 30 days. If a reader is not satisfied with the response, a complaint may be made to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, which handles privacy complaints in Australia: oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints. Contacting the publisher first is the faster route, but it is not a condition of complaining.

8. Data breaches

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm to any individual whose personal information is involved, the publisher will notify the affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, described at oaic.gov.au, and will make the equivalent notification to the relevant European supervisory authority where the GDPR applies.

9. Children

This site is not directed at children and is written for adults making household purchasing decisions. No information is collected from anyone, of any age, through the site. The publisher does not knowingly hold personal information relating to a person under 16; if such information arrives by email, it is deleted.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page with a new effective date, and the substance of the change is described at the top of the page for at least 60 days. A change that introduced any form of tracking would be made only alongside the mechanism required to obtain consent for it, before any such tracking began.

11. GDPR and UK GDPR

BuildWise s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, so the General Data Protection Regulation applies to its processing. The lawful basis relied on is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f): keeping the site secure, available and correct through server logs, and answering correspondence. No consent basis is relied on, because the site sets no cookies and performs no tracking.

Individuals have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, including the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Requests go to info@prospectworks.online. There is also a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; for the Czech Republic this is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), uoou.gov.cz, and readers in the United Kingdom may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
